Still playing the same role for most of her life from various timelines, like the most recent trilogy that connects to the original 1978 film to erase the many sequels to streamline the events between the final girl and the masked killer. Jamie Lee Curtis confirms in writing not to reprise Laurie Strode in Halloween
In 2018, David Gordon Green revived the franchise to make a definitive sequel to the original film. He brought back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode for a trilogy to put an end to her conflict with Michael Myers with Halloween Ends. It will star her with Kyle Richards from the original film and Will Patton (Outer Range).
Green will be making a trend of this approach. He is reviving The Exorcist with a film that will be a direct sequel to the 1973 film by bringing Ellen Burstyn back after 50 years to reprise her role as Chris MacNeil.
Halloween Ends releases in theaters and on Peacock on October 14.
