Viral TikTok Grandmas Get Flowers From Jay-Z And Rihanna
Jay-Z and Rihanna put a smile on the faces of some senior citizens last week when they sent them flowers. The viral TikTok grandma stole people’s hearts and caught the attention of Jay-Z and Rihanna with their dance moves.
Jay-Z and Rihanna separately reacted to the video by sending flowers to Arcadia Senior Living to show their appreciation. The Fenty Beauty founder sent white roses with a note that read, “You Ladies Dance Was Amazing.”
Jay-Z sent the dancing grandmas red roses with a note that said, “We Love The TikTok Here At RocNation.” Jay-Z, in recent years, has helped decide the halftime show performers with the NFL. He founded the entertainment agency Roc Nation in 2008.
Per Buzzfeed News, residents at Arcadia Senior Living plan on preserving the flowers for jewelry or pressing them into books.
Arcadia Senior Living’s community relations director Paige Oakes said the women were ecstatic to learn that Rihanna saw their TikTok. Maitlin Nuckols, the director of life engagement at home, also revealed that they filmed their video in one take.
Senior Residents Upload Viral TikTok Dance
The viral TikTok video had 3.6 million likes as of March 7. The clip shows a group of women from Arcadia Senior Living Bowling Green in Kentucky recreating one of Riri’s sets.
In the video shared on February 22, the women dressed in white like Rihanna’s Super Bowl backup dancers. However, one resident wore red like Rihanna as they performed the viral Rude Boy portion of the halftime show.
Their caption on TikTok reads, “our halftime show > rihanna’s halftime show.” The viral TikTok video also garnered a lot of comments from those praising the older women for their energetic performance.
“This is the cutest thing EVER! hope I’m this vibrant when I’m hanging with my girls at this age,” one user wrote, while another suggested that the women headline next year’s halftime show.
Jay-Z and Rihanna definitely made the residents of Arcadia Senior Living happy by recognizing their zest. They will likely hold on to this memory for the rest of their lives.
