Jennifer Connelly joins Bad Behaviour, a dark comedy that will mark the directorial debut for Alice Englert (The Power of the Dog), as reported by Deadline. Paddington and Fargo actor Ben Whishaw joins the cast too. Ana Scotney (Millie Lies Low), Dasha Nekrasova (Succession), Karan Gill (Cobra), and Marlon Williams (A Star Is Born) will also star.
Playing the lead character Lucy, Jennifer Connelly in Bad Behaviour will play the former child actress looking at a retreat from spiritual leader Elon (Whishaw). She also navigates a rocky relationship with her stunt performer daughter, Dylan (Englert).
Desray Armstrong and Molly Hallam will produce with executive producer Stephen Braun. New Zealand Film Commission, the New Zealand Screen Production Grant, Fulcrum Media Finance, and Bee-Hive Productions will finance the film, which begins its production in New Zealand. AHI Films and Images&Sound will support the film. CAA Media Finance and Verve Ventures will handle North American sales. Protagonist represents international sales. AHI will handle Australia and New Zealand distribution.

Costar Ben Whishaw is known for being the voice of Paddington, which is moving forward with its third film. He will be in Women Talking with Jesse Buckley (Fargo), Frances McDormand (The French Dispatch), and Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).
