Marvel star Jeremy Renner’s MCU stunts were as authentic as possible. But the actor who was fully committed to performing his stunts is taking a backseat. Renner’s new resolution comes after he was involved in a life-threatening accident. When he returns to the MCU, Jeremy Renner’s stuntman will handle all his stunts.
Jeremy Renner’s MCU Stunts Have Come To An End
Marvel star Jeremy Renner has taken a bow from performing those dangerous Marvel stunts. The actor made this revelation in an interview that aired Thursday night on ABC. In the chat with Diane Sawyer, the Avengers star emotionally recounted the life-threatening snowplow accident.
The New Year’s Day accident landed the actor in the hospital with over 30 broken bones and required chest surgery. In the interview, the Hawkeye star revealed that he felt he wouldn’t make it out alive. After the accident, Renner had written down notes on his phone and called his family to say his last words.
Fortunately, the actor’s injuries were adequately managed, and he has spent the last three months recovering from the accident. While he is eons away from returning to the MCU set, Renner has made a new resolution toward performing his stunts.
“I’m OK with a stunt guy doing it at this point,” Renner admitted. “I’m 52. It’s fine. I’ve done enough. I’m OK to do more, right? But I’m Ok. I have no ego. Yeah, go for it. I don’t care,” he told Diane Sawyer.
Further into the interview, the Avengers star recalled in painful detail the emotion and pain he suffered after the accident.
Who Will Be Jeremy Renner Stuntsman?
Renner outsourcing the responsibility of carrying out his stunts implies that there is room for a stunt double. Fans are curious about who this might be since the actor has done it himself for most of his career.
On New Year’s Day, Renner was crushed by a snowcat in an attempt to save his nephew. Although his recovery is not yet a hundred percent, Renner has made considerable progress on his journey to recovery.
