The late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live is returning to Brooklyn for its sixth visit. It will be the first time the late-night talk show has been in Brooklyn since 2019. Jimmy Kimmel Live will tape in front of a live studio audience at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House. The airdates and guests have not been announced yet. Eddie Murphy, Alicia Keys, and Benedict Cumberbatch are some of the guests from when the late-night show was in Brooklyn. Jimmy Kimmel hosted from Brooklyn in 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2018. The talk show airs mostly in El Capitan Entertainment Centre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel executive produces the series alongside Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron, and David Craig. 1205 AM Productions LLC produces the show with Kimmelot and ABC Signature.
Jimmy Kimmel Returns to His Roots
Jimmy Kimmel was born in New York City and lived there until he was 9. He spent the bulk of his childhood in Las Vegas. He calls his visit to his home city “Brooklyn Week.” The late-night talk show host has run a successful show for 19 years and counting. He previously co-hosted The Man Show from 1999 to 2004 on Comedy Central. One of the most popular segments on his show is Celebrities Read Mean Tweets. Jimmy Kimmel Live will continue with its celebrity guests and engaging conversations when it’s in Brooklyn. Some other guests that appeared during Jimmy Kimmel Live in Brooklyn include Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Eminem, Cardi B, Wu-Tang Clan, David Letterman, and Howard Stern. There hasn’t been an announcement of anything the late-night talk show will do differently. Although the talk show hasn’t been in New York City since the pandemic, a lot has changed.
