The upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4 film will have the longest runtime of the previous John Wick films. The director of the neo-noir action thriller film Chad Stahelski shared the news. Stahelski also shared that it’s only a few weeks away from its final cut. The director wants to assure fans that it won’t be too long, though. The first film of the neo-noir action thriller franchise was 101 minutes. The runtime of John Wick: Chapter 2 was 122 minutes, and John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum was 131 minutes. Keanu Reeves played the titular role in the first three and will reprise it for the fourth. A trailer has already been released showing Keanu Reeves continuing to wreak havoc. The supporting cast of John Wick: Chapter 4 includes Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, and Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd. Ian McShane remains the head of the Continental Hotel.
Keanu Reeves Has Managed to Attach Himself to Multiple Iconic Roles
From John Constantine to Neo Anderson, Keanu Reeves is a Hollywood staple. He blew audiences’ minds when he starred in the first John Wick film in 2014. The neo-noir action thriller film showed a world of incognito assassins that span the globe. It all started out with the killing of a puppy given to Wick by his deceased wife and turned into so much more. Keanu Reeves has gone from fighting agents in The Matrix to traveling through time as Ted “Theodore” Logan. Considering the following of the John Wick films, the long runtime will be no problem for John Wick Chapter 4. There is even a John Wick prequel series that’s in the works. A long runtime is no match for fans of the neo-noir action thriller film franchise. John Wick is still excommunicado from the Continental but still manages to survive.
John Wick: Chapter 4 comes out in theaters on May 23, 2023.
