The film adaption of Dr. Seuss’ book is in Good Hands with Chu
Warner Bros had been keeping an eye on Chu since his work on Crazy Rich Asians. Jon M Chu had never had experience directing an animated feature but wanted to give it a try. The film production and distribution company had a creative team several years ago that included Chu where he expressed his interest in directing an animated movie. Most recently he gained praise for directing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical In the Heights for Warner Bros. He serves as an executive producer and has directed several episodes of Apple TV+ series Home Before Dark. Chu’s directing credits also include Step Up 2: The Streets and GI. Joe: Retaliation. He will add Oh, The Places You’ll Go to that list. Since he already has the attention of Warner Bros. Pictures, it could further add to his credits.
Unfortunately, Oh, The Places You’ll Go with Jon Chu as the director won’t be hitting theaters until 2027.
