Goku, Luffy, and Naruto will be making the JUMP to Nintendo Switch this year. The Shonen Weekly-themed fighting game, JUMP FORCE, released on PS4 and Xbox last year to mixed reviews. From stiff cutscene animations to a lackluster progression system, the anime/manga mashup didn’t live up to the hype for most.
Despite initial reviews, the game is an ideal match for a marriage with the Nintendo Switch. Its multiplayer component, paired with the bad-ass combat, is sure to provide hours of fun for the console’s more mature audience. Mark it down now; JUMP FORCE will feel right at home when its port does arrive.
Exclusive Jump Force Features On Switch
To clarify, the version that Bandai Namco and Nintendo are porting is JUMP FORCE Deluxe Edition. This means that players will be receiving every fighter released through the Season 1 Character Pass. Nine new fighters were included in this add-on, including the greatest ninja to ever live, Madara Uchiha (Naruto).
On top of receiving all nine JUMP FORCE DLC characters, Switch players will be given a brand new game mode. The new game mode is a 3 vs. 3 offline battle mode. All six fighters can be controlled by a different player, allowing for six friends to partake in the frenzied combat. The mode emphasizes teamwork and strategy. Knowing when to tag in and out will be the key to victory.
Join The Family
Shonen Jump has been publishing dynamite manga for over half a century. Its stories and series have transcended pop culture. Many of Shonen’s works have become elite-level anime, and now is your chance to create new stories for their characters. There are over 50 available fighters to choose from, and the JUMP FORCE Character Pass 2 is on its way (headlined by MY HERO ACADEMIA’s Shoto Todoroki).
The character roster is massive, and the battles are explosive. Despite the high-speed combat, the game does fit the pick-up and play nature of most fighting games. The multiplayer focus of JUMP FORCE promotes co-op play, giving you and friends the chance to become heroes in the Shonen universe. Don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of Shonen history!
