Saturday’s Justice Con brought the world together, streaming an exclusive set of interviews with some of the cast and crew of Zack Snyder’s Justice League – but it also brought a snippet of the director’s much-anticipated movie.
The snippet in question debuts the appearance of Superman’s Black Suit. The suit, which didn’t appear in Joss Whedon’s Justice League, has its origins in comic book lore. In the 90’s comics, when Superman gets killed by Doomsday, he wears a black version of his famous super-suit after his resurrection. Although it looks somewhat different here, Snyder appears to want to capture the same magic of the comics by adding it.
In this clip, we see Henry Cavill’s Superman meet Alfred Pennyworth for the first time, played by Jeremy Irons. It’s short and only lasts a few seconds, but might be enough to keep fan’s mouths watering for the final cut.
Justice Con, arranged by The Nerd Queens, also featured interviews with Cyborg actor Ray Fisher, Storyboard Artist Jay Olivia, Darkseid actor Ray Porter and more. You can check out these interviews on the Justice Con YouTube Channel here.

The original Justice League film was released in 2017 to negative critical reception and was eventually deemed a “flop” due to losing the studio money. The film garnered a 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus reading, “Justice League leaps over a number of DC movies, but its single bound isn’t enough to shed the murky aesthetic, thin characters, and chaotic action that continue to dog the franchise.”
Zack Snyder directed the film during production, but handed over directorial duties to Joss Whedon for post-production following his daughter’s death. Whedon reshot many scenes when he came on board the project, prompting fans to ask for a ‘Snyder Cut’ of the movie.
And now after many months of asking, they have it. Zack Snyder’s Justice League will hit HBO Max in early to mid-2021.
