Possibly one of the most original indie games of last year, Katana Zero, is finally getting some merchandising. Appraised for the game’s brilliant writing and addicting gameplay, the success of the title is quite clear. Published by Devolver Digital in April of 2019, the critically acclaimed hack and slash by Askiisoft has finally released the soundtrack on vinyl. The 25 tracks included on the 2 vinyl records include the soundtrack’s best beats in a beautiful purple and pink record set. Alongside a t-shirt and VHS pin, the new flair for Katana Zero is great for any fan. In a tweet, Fangamer announced the new Katana Zero merch is available for pre-order now.

With some of the most electrifying and mesmerizing tracks by Bill Kiley and LudoWic, the vinyl is packed with great tracks. Even the NPC, DJ Electrohead, gets featured with his track Hit the Floor. With additional music credits to Askiisoft himself, Justin Stander and even Turkish artist Tunc Cakir, the vinyl is a true love letter to the musical production for Katana Zero. Featuring new artwork from the digital artist, Dave Zhang, the new merchandise features some great artistry. With the vinyl release featuring some great abstract scenes of different levels, the art brilliantly showcases great aspects of gameplay. With some pictures showcasing Zero running through Club Neon and the Bunker, the new pieces really highlight Katana Zero’s bloody gameplay.
Katana Zero is available on Xbox, Switch, and PC with a PlayStation release planned for a later date. The title is currently on sale for 40% off the original $15 price tag for Steam and Switch players. For those on Xbox, the game is available through Xbox Game Pass as well for ease of access. While Katana Zero hasn’t seen any major content updates since its debut last year, Askiisoft has confirmed the news of the upcoming DLC to be revealed in early 2021.
