The ‘Brahms: The Boy‘ star may have taken on fewer acting roles in recent years, but she is still very active in Hollywood. The 44-year-old actress, who recently finished her run on an off-broadway play, has been redefining her career as a director.
More recently, Holmes starred in and directed her latest movie feature, “Rare Objects.” In February, IFC Films released the movie trailer, giving fans a sneak preview of the movie’s plot.
In the movie, Holmes’ character Diana forms a close bond with a young woman named Benita (Julia Mayorga). The woman tries to rebuild her life away from her traumatic past when she finds a job at an antique shop. However, her attempts are foiled when individuals from her last keep making their way back into her life.
The movie, based on Kathleen Tessaro’s 2016 novel, also stars Derek Luke and David Alexander Finn. It is set to be released in theaters on April 14.

On Monday night, Katie Holmes attended a special screening of her new film “Rare Objects,” which took place in New York City. The movie is Holmes’ third directorial effort, and she put on a dazzling display to mark the special occasion.
