Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore revealed that her divorce with Marc Daly is at a standstill. Kenya has opened up about the reason she is still not divorced.
On the second installment of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, the RHOA star Kenya Moore opened up about the status of her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband Marc Daly.
Is Kenya’s Divorce With Marc Daly Not Finalized?
On Sunday’s second part of the season 14 reunion, Kenya, 51, revealed that she and Marc are still legally married, despite her filing for divorce 16 months ago. “[I’m] still not divorced,” the actress, who has been vocal about her desire to finalize the divorce and move on, lamented.
Kenya and Marc, who share three-year-old daughter Brooklyn, first got married in June 2017. In September 2019, they split for the first time. Although the former couple briefly rekindled their romance, Marc confirmed in January 2021 that they had split once again.
In May 2021, Kenya filed for a divorce, with the court documents stating that she has been in a “bonafide state of separation” since September 2019. The document also showed that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
What Has Been Holding Up Their Divorce?
According to Kenya, what has been holding up the divorce is not alimony or child support. She told Andy Cohen.
“He’s not asking for anything at this point. It’s just at a standstill. So until we get a trial date or settle, it’s still going to go on.”
Per People, despite still being legally married, the former Miss USA Kenya Moore said her pending divorce is not stopping her from exploring her dating life. She added that though she has been meeting new people and going on double dates with friends, there is nothing serious yet.
The Waiting To Exhale star went on to say that she is feeling a lot more energized in recent times, adding that she is doing better in her business “than I’ve ever done in my entire life.”
This is not the first time Kenya has voiced her frustrations about the status of her divorce. Earlier in May, she expressed her feelings about the standstill on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, noting that the delay was not on her end.
“I want it to be over. The hold-up is on the other side,” Kenya said. “Get me free! Get me free!”
