Even when it comes to the Arrowverse, when you think of Bruce Wayne, a bearded man isn’t the first thing that comes to mind.
And yet, that’s exactly what voice acting legend Kevin Conroy was sporting during a recent trip to New York Comic Con as depicted in on his Twitter page:

You see, Conroy recently traveled to Vancouver, Canada to film scenes for the highly-anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover for DC’s live-action Arrowverse.
It’s the first time that the 63-year-old actor, who is perhaps most famous for being the voice of Batman, will portray the role of Bruce Wayne in live-action. But given that he had to take time off his shoot to go to NYCC, it appears reasonable to suggest the beard is a feature of his new role in the Arrowverse.
In the special five-episode crossover event, Conroy portrays an older Bruce Wayne far in the future compared to where the Arrowverse timeline. In the ‘current’ Arrowverse timeline, Bruce Wayne AKA Batman has gone AWOL, which prompts his cousin Kate Kane to jump into the cowl in his place. Given this, nobody has portrayed the young version in that universe so far and his character has only received a few mentions.
Kevin Conroy isn’t the only DC acting legend that’ll play a role in this Arrowverse event. The producers have put a whole bunch of goodies in the Christmas basket. From Tom Welling and Erica Durance reprising their roles as Smallville’s Clark Kent and Lois Lane respectively to Brandon Routh playing Kingdom Come Superman, there’s plenty of mouth-watering nerd-tastic moments in store.
Even Ashley Scott is reprising her role as Huntress from the short-lived Birds of Prey TV series from 2002. As to whether any more great cameos are in store remains to be seen.
