Lady Gaga has been hard at work filming the sequel to 2019’s Joker. Gaga is set to play Harley Quinn in the film alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn has caused great excitement online, and more so now that the first pictures of her as the character has leaked. Gaga portrays a much less cartoonish version of Harley in the leaked photos. Of course, Margot Robbie most recently played the character.
Joker: Folie a Deux is currently filming in Los Angeles, and the shoot will continue until April. The cast began filming in December of last year. Though pictures have surfaced previously, this is the first clear character shot of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Gaga herself even shared a photo before, but it was only from the neck up. Fans are assuming that the picture comes from a dream sequence as the movie is said to primarily take place within Arkham Asylum.

What is Todd Phillips’ ‘Joker 2’ About?
Of course, not much is known about the plot of Joker 2. What we do know is that it’s a full-blown musical. This news came as a surprise but has been well-received among most fans. Film critic and YouTuber Grace Randolph recently reported that Todd Phillips’ Joker 2 film will be told from the perspectives of both The Joker and Harley. Joker 2, being a musical, makes sense because it will include music therapy sessions in Arkham Asylum. Grace has previously reported that the film could be pretty dark, even compared to the first.
We’re sure more set photos will leak from the set of Joker 2. The film is still a while away from release, but there is significant buzz around seeing both Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga on screen together.
