Lady Gaga pacified her fans with new behind-the-scene pics months after sending the internet wild with anticipation with the announcement of her upcoming Chromatica Ball film project. In June, the Bad Romance crooner took to social media to confirm she has been hard at work with several projects, from fashion to philanthropy. She revealed that the climax of these artistic pursuits would be the creation of The Chromatica Ball film edit. At the time, the record announcement stirred excitement among fans, who have since anticipated the chance to walk through Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Ball tour with her, up, close and personal.
Lady Gaga Stuns in Studio Selfie Amid Growing Anticipation for The Chromatica Ball Film
Nearly half a year later, there is still no word on the long-anticipated film and fans aren’t exactly impressed. Several of Gaga’s fans found an avenue to pour out their outrage following her latest Instagram post from a studio. The crooner took to the platform to share two pictures of herself inside a studio. She captioned the shots with a black heart emoji and a music emoji seemingly teasing a new record in the works.
In the first pic, Lady Gaga, baring the flawless skin of her neck and shoulders in a thin-strapped top looked breath-taking as she held up her phone for a selfie. Gaga’s next photo captured parts of her lower legs, with her black spandex tights and white kicks also visible. The background of the behind-the-scenes image showed several studio equipment and wires, with, “Twin 87” inscribed on them. The words left most wondering if she was teasing the name of a new single still in the works.
Gaga’s Fans Slam Her Perceived Lack of Accountability
Many of Lady Gaga’s fans hoped the new project had some connection to ARTPOP II, the unreleased sequel to her 2013 album, ARTPOP. Meanwhile, some fans expressed disappointment that like ARTPOP II, the crooner seems to have shelved the Chromatica Ball tour film despite previously promising its release. They slammed Gaga for showing little or no accountability when dealing with fans. One outraged fan advised her to take a page off Taylor Swift’s notebook, writing,
“All we’re getting are poor quality merch and forever silence. This kind of untouched artist she’s becoming makes it harder to stay on this fan base. She should learn something from Taylor Swift.”
Another commented,
“She announced chromatica ball film more than a year ago. Timing is horrible. It’s not just about marketing dear, but to be more present in our lives, call it reciprocal.”
Another comment read,
“Where is the Chromatica ball film? You talk about that back in June.”
Some fans implied Lady Gaga had no intention of creating a new record, but simply posted the teasing studio pics as a distraction from the long-brewing backlash over her failure to release ARTPOP II and the Chromatica Ball film.
