Battle Royal games are all the rage right now, with Player Unknown Battlegrounds, Fortnite and almost every other shooter on the planet looking to strike while the iron is hot in this segment of the genre. But you know that it’s been missing so far? Rolling around in office chairs while you do battle. That’s exactly what indie developer KevKev had in mind when he created Last Man Sitting.
Last week on Twitter, the indie dev posted some work in progress gifs of the game, showing off his insane brainchild.

As opposed to being able to roam freely like every other game taking advantage of the Battle Royal craze, Last Man Sitting, as the title alludes, will put players in office chairs while they do battle.
From Shotguns to explosives, and even fire extinguishers, the game looks to feature an interesting arsenal, all set in the somewhat closed off space of an office environment. Shooting will not only kill enemies though, it will also determine movement.
Instead of allowing players to move freely, recoil physics from each will determine where your character ends up. So while you may kill your enemy with a fatal shotgun blast, be wary of where you find yourself after the recoil.
Alongside the recoil effect for the game’s physics, footage shows that the ragdoll portion of it will cause mayhem, with players and objects flying around in unbelievable ways. As one might imagine based on everything described above, everything about the game looks like wacky fun.
KevKev has revealed that his first version of Last Man Sitting will likely be done by December or January, thanks to the fact that it doesn’t contain too many features. No word on the platform he will post it on, though it will likely be Steam, but it will be interesting to see if the game is ever implemented into VR, as it definitely has a lot of potential for Virtual Reality.
