According to a leak from TheGamingRevolution, multiple titles from Activision are coming soon. Let’s begin with Call Of Duty. A remastered edition of Modern Warfare 2 is a strong contender for a release soon. Code-named Project: Zeus, there’s a rumor circulating of a Call Of Duty 2020 installment, as well as a free to play COD game from Sledgehammer.
Lastly, TheGamingRevolution mentions the sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot, which could be on the cards. For Call Of Duty enthusiasts, there’s a lot to look forward to. TheGamingRevolution further elaborated that a number of Crash games could be on the way. These include a remaster of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, as well as a PvP Crash title.
Following the success of their reboot to the classic Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled, it an exciting time for the series. It’s not surprising either that the developers will be looking to dish out new titles. TheGamingRevolution’s tweet further mentions the potential of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater remaster.
At this time, Activision has not commented on the leak. According to TheGamingRevolution, all of these titles mentioned are expected for 2020 or 2021. As a result of E3 2020’s cancellation, and other major gaming events, it’s unclear exactly when.
Plus, it’s uncertain whether or not these proposed titles will be released on current consoles or future ones, including the forthcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Last year, it appeared Playstation had teased a new Crash Bandicoot title. Elsewhere, Activision recently made an admission of wanting to remaster other titles following the success of the Crash N’Sane Trilogy and Spyro remakes. So, anything’s possible in reality.
TheGamingRevolution has got us all thinking in the meantime. It’s enough to make us hope Activision will deliver, but again nothing at this stage is a certainty.
