Legacy of the Sith will be a new expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic according to ComicBook.com. BioWare and Electronic Arts announced that Legacy of the Sith will be released later this year. This is only the beginning of the celebration for the 10th anniversary of the highly successful Star Wars MMO, according to BioWare.
Some of the more in-depth changes coming to the Star Wars MMO include getting the overall level cap a boost to a much-needed 80. And for those wanting more co-op missions, you will be in luck as they will be including not only more co-op missions for Legacy of the Sith but also a new Flashpoint. Combat Styles will be something all players, old and new, will have to get accustomed to. BioWare explains them as such:
Combat Styles will allow players to fulfill their ultimate Star Wars fantasy, independently choosing a specific class story and combining it with ability sets from other related tech or force wielding classes. Existing, returning and new players can look forward to improvements in creating their next Star Wars character through a refactored character creation system. In addition, updates to itemization and loadout experiences as well as streamlined class design further enhances the Star Wars: The Old Republic experience for new, returning and existing players”
Beyond those fun things, BioWare is also looking to tune up its character creator and make the overall gameplay experience even better. Although there is no official release date, keep your eyes peeled for a winter/holiday release.
Legacy of the Sith Narrative
The expansion will not be doing much as far as adding anything important to the narrative already established in Star Wars: The Old Republic. You’ll still need to track down Darth Malgus, but now you can do it with a higher-level cap and a battle style of your own choosing.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is available exclusively on PC.
