‘Someone You Loved’ singer Lewis Capaldi confirms that he has been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome. He confirmed that he’s currently learning to live and adapt to the twitches and the condition.
The Scottish singer decided to make his plight known to the public to avoid misinformation. He doesn’t want his fans thinking that he’s taking cocaine or something else. The condition can cause an individual to make sudden involuntary sounds and movements called tics.
Lewis Capaldi, a Grammy Awards nominee, disclosed that he’s thankful the condition is Tourette’s syndrome and nothing deadlier. Formerly, the 25-year-old was scared that it could have been a degenerative or terminal disease.
He further stated in an interview that it makes so much sense to him now that he knows what’s wrong. The Glaswegian also recollects that he saw signs at his initial interviews from four years ago.
Lewis Capaldi, who’s set to drop a single this Friday, made it known that the condition is unsteady as it comes and goes. He added that sometimes, he can go months without it happening.
Lewis Capaldi Will Drop A Single Amidst Tourette’s Syndrome Condition
Tourette’s syndrome won’t be stopping Lewis Capaldi, an MTV VMA award winner, from doing what he knows how to do best. The singer disclosed that he will release a brand new single while making his announcement in the interview.
The single titled ‘Forget Me’ is coming off his new album and will drop on September 9, just a few days from now. Capaldi let over 57k fans in on the song as he played a snippet on TikTok live.
Forget Me is coming after three years of his debut album, Divinely Uninspired, which was at the top of the UK charts.
Before Lewis Capaldi announced that he has Tourette’s syndrome, he had already given a hint of the song last year. This came up when he rescheduled all his live concerts to focus on recording a follow-up.
Fans can’t wait to hear the singer’s new single. It should be something special following his recent health concern. In relation to the title of the unreleased single, we won’t forget him!
