While English-speaking gamers are only recently started playing the MMORPG Lost Ark, the game already debuted in South Korea first back on December 4, 2019, and much more classes and content have been added since then. Since the North American and European servers are launched much later in 2022, they’re still playing catch up with the original release. One of the new classes to be released to the North American and European Lost Ark servers is the giant hammer-wielding Destroyer. Before his official worldwide debut, here’s everything we’ve known about Lost Ark Destroyer class so far.
When is Destroyer Going to be Released to Lost Ark NA/EU Server?
According to the previously shown roadmap (which Amazon has already taken down), the Destroyer class was supposed to be released to Lost Ark North American and European servers sometime in the next month, on April 2022. Nevertheless, Lost Ark community manager Roxx said that the roadmap is now being “adjusted” based on “player progression data.” Roxx closed the statement by promising to share an updated roadmap “soon.”
With that in mind, the release date for Destroyer and other content might get pushed back further. We will update this article once Amazon and Smilegate RPG have released an update.
Destroyer: Playstyle, Strengths, and Weaknesses
Destroyer will be the new Advanced Class for Warrior. And like other Warrior subclasses, Destroyer is gender-locked for male characters. Armed with a huge hammer and huge guts, Destroyer is known for his attacks that inflict high stagger rates even compared to Gunlancer. But of course, he isn’t the glass-cannon type character since Destroyer comes with high HP, defense, and shield mechanic in a number of his skills. However, the drawback is he is extremely slow — talking about both movement/mobility and attack speed. Maybe for that reason, this Advanced Class wasn’t really popular among Korean players. According to YouTuber ZealsAmbition, he ranks 11th out of all 21 Classes back in November 2021.
When playing as a Destroyer, some of his blue skills are able to fill up to three “cores” on the bottom of your screen. And then you use the purple skills to “discharge” the stacked cores to deal additional damage, up to a 45% bonus damage and 30% of your max HP as a shield, and fill up another meter. Once your meter is full, you can enter a transformation mode that gives immunity from knockback and status effects for 10 seconds while adding bonus damage to auto-attacks. For more details, YouTuber Memorizer 92 has made an in-depth Lost Ark video guide on the Destroyer class based on the Korean version. Watch their video above.

Since the Destroyer class is yet to be released yet, we can’t talk much about his build, especially if the North American and European versions of Lost Ark end up tweaking his stats. Nevertheless, Memorizer 92 said that building Destroyer shouldn’t be particularly hard since his playstyle is rather straightforward. For Gems, you would want to add around three attack boosting Gems while other slots should be used to decrease cooldown since you have to manage your cores and meters.
Thankfully though, some players from different servers have shared their Destroyer PvP and PvE build. Check two of them below.
