In a surprising twist, it looks like the TV show Manifest will get another season. The NBC show was previously canceled without a proper end to the story. Luckily for fans, Netflix has agreed to produce Manifest season 4, the final season of the show. According to Deadline, it will consist of 20 episodes. There is no official release date, but fans are still excited.
The Manifest Story So Far
Manifest follows the passengers of an airplane who disappeared for five years. When they get home, they have to reform back to society. Complications arise even more when some passengers receive visions and hear voices in their heads. Quickly, they realize there’s more to the story of their missing five years.
After the season three finale, Manifest was canceled. Fans were upset that they wouldn’t get to see the end of the storylines. #SaveManifest spread online with fans hoping to use it to get another season. It, fortunately, worked out for them, and they’ll get an official ending to the show.
Fans will also be happy to hear that some of the cast is coming back. Deadline reports that actors Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh are slated to return. They go on to say that the rest of the cast is still in negotiations.
Manifest is not the first show to be saved by Netflix. The streaming service has a history of picking up canceled shows. Before Manifest Season 4, they were giving other shows second chances. Netflix gave the show Designated Survivor a third season after it was canceled by ABC. Another show that they saved was Lucifer. After the show was canceled by Fox after three seasons, Netflix picked them up for their fourth season. It would go on to be a success, with their sixth and final season premiering later this year.
