At age “81-and-young,” she still feels confident in her physique, and it is a trait that has been with her from her youth. As a younger woman, she developed her fiery attitude to life just by watching her parents. She had a dad who fueled her passion for knowledge and gave her a pat on the back. She soon resorted to modeling, learning how to pose in front of the camera, and became incredibly good at it. The television personality was also a responsible woman who financed her education and lifestyle with the money made from her modeling business. More than four decades later, she still possesses such vibrancy, and this time, in hopes to motivate aging women.

Martha Stewart Goes Unfiltered Following Her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover
In November, Martha Stewart was contacted by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, they asked her to be one of their cover models for 2023. The lifestyle expert immediately expressed her intention to participate. Despite being an 81-year-old, she was confident in her appearance.
Stewart, who is blessed with natural beauty and has somehow managed to age backward, sat down with Today’s hosts recently. After the hosts, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb welcomed her to the studio, the cover model flaunted some hot moves. She decked in leggings and a white top that draped past her waist and sauntered to the seat in 6 inches block heels.
The lifestyle guru then explained her experience before, during, and after her latest modeling job. Martha Stewart started with the swimsuit pose on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Like the other two women, she gushed over herself after seeing it for the first time. The 81-year-old confessed that she felt nervous. Seeing the photo cover made her remember how she changed into a variety of bathing suits in one day on an Island. In the end, she chimed:
“I like that picture. … And it turned out okay!”
There was everything to like about the cover, but listening to her words also reinforced that she was a living legend. Stewart admitted that the request to be on a cover was strange and her first time, especially at her age. However, she was born ready. “To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge,” she said.
She Had To Physically Prepare
Before getting ready for the challenge, the lifestyle guru intensified her passion to lead a clean life. Though she already did, Stewart knocked out bread and pasta from her diet for months. At the same time, she focused on pampering her skin and having good exercise routines.
Having the perfect body and perfect mind to go with it has always been her mantra. Stewart believes aging can be boring if people do not see how happy they can be. So instead of using the term “aging,” she subscribed to “good and successfully living.” In no small way, the 81-year-old wants her influence to spread across the country. She already runs a hospital in Mt.Sinai called The Center for Living. The founding principle was to help people age gracefully. In her words:
“To do all things that make you happy as you get older.”
Like her father, her mom was also a big motivation. Stewart got her knack for swimsuit poses coupled with great genes from her. After four kids, the older Stewart still rocked her body in swimwear as reported by Today.
