The newest additions to the crossover fighter Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be coming to all available platforms on December 5. Black Widow, Venom, and Winter Soldier will be the next three characters added to the lineup. Capcom released a trailer announcing the release of these three characters.
Venom, Black Widow, and Winter Soldier are a part of 2017 Character Pass for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The pass is $29.99 and also includes the other characters released after the game hit stores, including Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter. If you already have the pass, then the characters will be added to your roster automatically. If you don’t want to spend all that money for every character, and instead only want Venom, then fear not: you can also spend $7.99 for a single character.
On the Capcom Unity website, each character was given their own little spotlight. See below:
Venom
Returning to the series with some of his signature moves, Venom’s aggressive playstyle is further amplified in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. His new movement option is Venom Glide, a web zip of sorts, which can be aimed in six different directions, enabling him to keep the pressure going in his favor.
Black Widow
Black Widow’s gauntlets can fire off different projectiles that range from a sticky bomb to one that emits a nerve gas, which crumples the opponent. With the unique ability to perform evasive maneuvers, catching Black Widow will not be easy.
Winter Soldier
As a skilled assassin, Winter Soldier has various ways to debilitate opponents and excels at ground combat. Using his cybernetic arm, he can activate Metal Shield, which provides him with enough armor to not only ignore hits, but to walk away unscathed. Though his move set is limited with Metal Shield active, the potential for devastating punishes is massive
It’s been just over two months since Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was released for Xbox One, PS4, and Microsoft Windows. As a thanks (Happy Thanksgiving) to players of the game, Capcom will be hosting a free demo weekend starting this Friday, the 24th starting at 8 a.m. PST and going until Monday the 27th ending at 8 a.m. PST.
And don’t forget that the Battle of the Stones eSports tournament for the game will be held from December 8-10 in Anaheim, CA.
