Recently, Chris Hemsworth shared a touching moment he had shared with Marvel’s Robert Downey Jr. while they were on the set of Avengers: Endgame, which was the final Marvel movie, and time and time again, the original six actors keep showing us just why another team of MCU heroes won’t beat them. There were only six members of the Avengers team…Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and the Hulk. With there being so few actors, each one was able to bond with one another on set…them even still having an active Avengers group chat to this day, years after the movies. All six actors worked close together for around ten years, and the bond they shared was obvious on the scene.
There Won’t Be Another Team Like Marvel’s The Avengers
During a podcast interview, Chris Hemsworth shared about working with Downey, saying that the time filming Avengers: Endgame was one of the highlights of his time working for the MCU this far…which is understandable given the team and bonds he had with the five others. He shared about interactions on set, like when Downey praised Hemsworth for a scene he did as Thor. Even going back to this day and looking at old interviews of the six, it is so obvious that these actors are something special. This bond and this experience were a once-in-a-lifetime thing to watch unfold.
The MCU franchise is continuing to grow every day, between the more street heroes and the Thunderbolts coming to the universe…but the six members above are where the heart of the franchise really comes in. They had a unique foundation of a true bond between best friends, and it is very sad to see that it has come to an end after Endgame.
As the cast of the MCU keeps growing…many fans are focusing on the new heroes coming to the plate and the huger movies coming now, like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. However, Marvel’s The Avengers just don’t feel like the Avengers anymore. The intimacy we used to feel from this smaller group isn’t visible in the larger casting now, but we are sure that many more good movies will come from it.
