In the first chapter of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, the titular team sets out to hunt down some monsters to sell them to Lady Hellbender. Luckily, Rocket has a plan on how to do just that. He sets up these devices known as Thumpers to draw out the creatures, but one of them malfunctions. To repair it, Star-Lord, aka Peter Quill, aka you need to find a battery replacement. This guide will show you how to find a battery for the Thumper Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
How to Find a Battery for the Thumper
When the Thumper short circuits, Star-Lord is tasked with searching the area to find a battery to get the machine up and running again. You will do this by using Star-Lord’s visor vision. This is similar to the Detective Vision or Witcher Sense from the Batman Arkham and The Witcher series respectively. It is a way for you to scan items of interest to either learn some lore or continue down a critical path. Here you are looking for a pile of white goo that is holding up a platform. This goo structure will appear yellow in the visor and is on the opposite side of the arena from Rocket. Once you find it, shoot the goo with your gun, and the platform, as well as the battery on top of it, will fall to the ground.
With the battery recovered, scan it with your visor vision to get some dialog to play. After the dialog finishes, you will be able to pick up the battery and return it to Rocket. While Rocket repairs the Thumper, you will need to defend him from some monsters, but now you have found a battery for the Thumper in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, so the rest should come easy.
