From Scream to Scooby-Doo, Matthew Lillard is definitely in the runnings for the King of Halloween, but this year he is stepping into a new role: Dungeon Master. On October 30th, Lillard is hosting a charity Dungeons & Dragons game to raise money for Extra Life!
The campaign is called Lost Odyssey: Night of Dread, and this event will put Matthew Lillard as DM for the very first time:
With the players all in-costume, and the scare factor high— Lost Odyssey: Night of Dread is a Halloween-from-home special giving viewers a seasonal touchstone event to take part in. With such a trying year in 2020, webcam games like these are a way for friends to find and keep community in such a stressful time. People coming together and telling stories to help one another— gathering around the proverbial campfire, and telling a story as one at the same digital ‘table’ in a time of social distancing.
Matthew Lillard will be running the show, and his cast of all-female characters includes, “Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Daredevil), Kate Welch (Acquisitions Incorporated), Jasmine Bhullar (Relics & Rarities), Ember Moon (WWE NXT), & Krystina Arielle (Fungeons & Flagons).”
The event is taking place on Friday, October 30th, from 7 PM to 9PM PST. It will be streaming on YouTube here, and those hoping to donate can check out the Lost Odyssey page here! Fans who plan on dressing up for the event can use the hashtag, #NightofDread, to participate.
