Matthew Perry‘s October 28 death is still dominating headlines, with Friends fans continuing to mourn his tragic loss. The sitcom star died suddenly aged 54 at his Pacific Palisades home at the end of last month. He was found unresponsive in his hot tub following a two-hour game of pickleball.
While celebrities have left tributes and his former Friends costars attended his funeral, Matthew is now seeing friends come out of the woodwork as they open up about him. Close pal Lauren Graham has spoken about Perry, noting how he was feeling prior to his death.

Looking back around a year and referencing the candid memoir Matthew penned, Lauren revealed: “This last year, he was so proud of the book he wrote, and of how many people it touched.”
The Gilmore Girls actress continued: “It was a success that gave him a level of happiness that I hadn’t seen in him for a really long time, so that’s a nice memory.”

Referencing the unexpected nature of Perry’s death, Lauren further shared: “I mean, it’s a really tragic loss, and he leaves his beautiful work behind. That’s something to be thankful for, and again, the book really meant something to him, so it was a really happy year for him.”
Local law enforcement arriving at the scene of death confirmed that no illegal drugs were on the premises and that there was no sign of “foul play.” However, it is understood that Perry was taking prescription medication. The results of his toxicology report are still pending. A coroner will use the eventual results to determine the actor’s official cause of death.
Matthew was much-loved as he brought tens of millions to tears with his quippy one-liners as on-screen character Chandler Bing. His private funeral was attended by costars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc.
Fans, meanwhile, are leaving tributes on Matthew’s Instagram. His final post, shared five days ahead of his death, proved chilling for many.
