The Bachelor alum Charity Lawson was dramatically revealed as the lead for the upcoming season 20 of ABC’s The Bachelorette at the end of The Bachelor: Women Tell All episode last Tuesday. After the episode aired, host Jesse Palmer caught up with Charity in her dressing room for what she thought was a promotional video. Jesse told her they were filming a “this or that game” for social media, which she quickly agreed to.
He then asked her some rapid-fire questions — such as choosing between sunrise and sunset, camping or glamping, staycation or vacation, etc. Finally, he asks her to choose between Bachelor In Paradise or The Bachelorette. Charity chose The Bachelorette, and Jesse told her it was good that she made the right pick because she would be the next lead of the series. Charity couldn’t hold the tears and immediately called her mom to tell her the great news. Later, in a confessional, she said:
“I’ve waited forever to find the love of my life, and it blows my mind that I could meet my person and be engaged and literally have my happily ever after. I can’t wait to show little girls that look like me that being in a position like this is possible.”
Charity Lawson began her reality TV adventure on season 27 of The Bachelor, where she made it to the hometown dates. She brought Zach Shallcross to her hometown Columbus, where he met her parents. In the episode, she also confessed her love for him. Following the hometown dates, she sadly didn’t get a rose — ending her time on the show. Over the last few weeks, Charity’s Instagram page has mostly showcased her experience in season 27 of The Bachelor. Before that, Charity dedicated her page to showcasing her extraordinary life, friends, and achievements, with over 50k followers. Charity also regularly posts about her family and has a whole Instagram story “highlights” she dedicated to them.
Charity’s casting as the lead in season 20 of The Bachelorette will tremendously impact her Instagram followers.
