Preston Mitchum will make his reality Tv debut alongside his friends when Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard premieres in the first week of May. Like Bravo’s original Summer House, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard teases a lot of fun and drama. The series will become the studio’s first ever to feature an all-black cast of professionals who will take to screens to provide premium entertainment for fans.
Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Premise
Bravo’s Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard feature an all-black cast of 12 friends who will be vacationing together for the first time under one roof. These first-time Bravo-bridies are friends, and they were all invited by the newly married couple, Jasmine and Silas Cooper, who will lead the rest of the cast on the show.
Also, the trailer for the series teases a lot of drama as things get heated up amongst the friends — with big personalities colliding, friendships tested, and romantic bonds formed. However, besides the drama, the Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard cast will also enjoy the calmness of the Island and its rich cultural heritage. Martha’s Vineyard, an Island south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, will be home to an all-black cast throughout the season.
The Island has served many black families for more than 100 years. Also, it was one of the first beach destinations that welcomed blacks and allowed them to purchase properties on the Island. Barack Obama, his wife, daughters, and Oprah Winfrey have all spent time on the site. Still, another black professional who will enjoy what the island offers is Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Preston Mitchum.
Preston Mitchum’s Age and Hometown
Preston Mitchum is 37 years old and was born in Ohio, although he currently lives in Washington, DC. He was raised by his mom Carla Postell — a Malcolm X fan — who instilled in her son the importance of always seeking truth and never accepting anything without first research. These lessons were crucial in helping to shape Preston’s life and inadvertently led to him pursuing a career in law. Preston’s two older sisters LeShauna and Ebony, greatly influenced him.
Preston also had to deal with loss growing up when his younger brother Paris passed on in middle school. However, he continues to carry the memory of his brother in the form of a tattoo on his right arm. Despite all his academic qualifications and career achievements, Preston still brings a truckload of fun to the show. His Bravo bio describes him as an “attorney by day and a social butterfly by night.” He has also visited Martha’s Vineyard alongside his fraternity brother Silas Cooper.
