If you’ve been a fan of the Metro games for some time, you likely witnessed the backlash regarding Metro Exodus‘ exclusivity deal with Epic Games. If you didn’t, you can read our piece on it here. Regardless of your thoughts on exclusivity deals, the game has been planned to release on Steam for quite some time. Today that has finally happened, as you can now purchase Metro Exodus on Steam. If you’re interested, you can find the Steam page here.
Follow Artyom on his greatest journey yet in Metro Exodus. You and your fellow Spartan Rangers must go on a quest across post-apocalyptic Russia to find new life. Along the way, you’ll visit different locations, experience different weather, and encounter a plethora of new enemies. Things are much different on the surface, and Artyom must put his skills to the test if he and his friends are to survive. The game is a story-driven first-person shooter that is beloved by fans for its atmospheric world and a solid narrative. There are also two previous games in the series being Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light which is more than worth checking out. You can play them (and Exodus) on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. 2033 and Last Light will be available on the Nintendo Switch on February 28th if that’s your platform of choice.
To commemorate the release, Metro Exodus is on sale for 40% off along with the entire franchise at 50% off. These offers are sadly only available on Steam but if you use the platform, you should check them out. There are many hours of content there that are more than worth the price tag. This isn’t the only thing Metro has had to celebrate recently as the DLC Sam’s Story for Metro Exodus released a few days ago. If you’re a Metro fan, there’s a lot to excite you as of late.
