This has been a great year for Metroid fans. While last we got a terrific title for the franchise, this time we’ve seen some classic games making their way to Nintendo’s latest console. We had a surprise release for one of the best Metroid games out there and now we’re about to get another. Staying away from surprise releases, Nintendo just announced that Metroid Fusion is coming for members of Nintendo Switch Online. This is fantastic as you won’t have to pay a lot to play this title. As always there is a catch and that means that you need to be on the highest tier of this online service.
Metroid Fusion is launching on March 9 for Nintendo Switch Online+Expansion Pack members
While it is still not a high price, you’ll need to have the highest tier of the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. This means that you need to get the service plus the Expansion Pack tier. It isn’t a bad service as it has a lot of classic games and it is bringing even more. Besides Metroid Fusion coming to Nintendo Switch Online, we know that there are many more games coming soon.
The SA-X, an unstoppable X mimicking Samus, is on the loose, and it could be just around the corner…

In the latest Nintendo Direct, we got the see the plans that the company has for the platform. It seems that Game Boy titles are coming too, and many are hoping for classic Pokémon titles to show up. While they haven’t confirmed any, it is nice to see that Nintendo, just like Sony, is looking for ways to bring old games to modern consoles. One of those is Metroid Fusion, which you’ll be able to enjoy on Nintendo Switch Online this March 9. So, if you’re not a member of the service, you should consider subscribing. It brings many benefits and some goodies for fans of the many first-party titles that the Japanese game company has.
