As we are approaching the last Title Update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on October 1st, Capcom announced that they are releasing two new event quests for this weekend. This is going to be the first batch of new quests this month since next week there is going to be three new event quests taking place in the Seliana Supply Cache as well. Here are the two quests that are coming on September 4th to 7th.
Iceborne New Event Quest: ‘Mew are Number One!’
- Conditions: MR 100 or higher
- Locale: Arena
- Objective: Hunt a Furious Rajang
The normal Furious Rajang is already a pain in the neck; now we have to hunt the Tempered version. I wanted to say that this is the perfect alternative if you are already bored with hunting Tempered Zinogre to death for Decorations, but it is Furious Rajang. Maybe playing alone will be easier than trying to carry three randoms through this quest. This new event quest is available Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7, and will net you a Great Spiritvein Gem and Decorations as the rewards.
Event Quest: ‘Old Dog, New Trick’
- Conditions: MR 18 or higher
- Locale: Arena
- Objective: Hunt a Frostfang Barioth
Unlike the previous ‘The Last White Knight‘ event quest where we face off against a Tempered Frostfang Barioth. Instead, this time around you fight a normal variant of it. I’d say this is a perfect opportunity to learn how to fight Frostfang Barioth since the non-tempered version is weaker but still has the same movesets. Don’t forget, we also have three simple tricks if you’re having trouble countering its annoying ice attacks. This new event quest is available Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7, and will net you a Gold Melding Ticket as the reward. You can use the Gold Melding Ticket to craft random Level 4 Decorations in the Elder Melder.
So far Capcom has said that these two new Monster Hunter World: Iceborne quests are a “limited-time” kind of deal. They haven’t confirmed when the quests will be available again after this weekend is over. Ready to get your butt kicked by the Tempered Furious Rajang?
