Big news everyone!, Mighty No.9 will be available in North America on September 15 and in Europe on September 18.
Megaman fans started to feel bad when its producer, Keiji Inafune, was leaving Capcom in 2010 (I kinda understand them now, with this whole Kojima/Konami split up thing… anyway). But their sadness disappeared completely when Inafume announced a new game with a Kickstarter campaign: Mighty No. 9. In a matter of days it exceeded the million dollars goal, turning the project into fully funded.
The release of Mighty No. 9 was going to be on April, but never had an official date. Now, an update in the Kickstarter page announced the game will be available in North America on September 15 and in Europe on September 18.
But why was this delay anyway? The reason behind this was the fact that Comcept (the company behind the game) is teaming up with publisher Deep Silver for, according to the Kickstarter page, too add extra Japanese and French voiceovers. Also extra subtitles languages, such as Spanish (yeaaahh), German, Italian, Russian, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese (you have to do that differentiation. Don’t ask why, please). Also, the Ray DLC pack is going to be free for all the backers (people who supported the game giving money for the game in Kickstarter).
And that’s not it. In addition to all this, Mighty No. 9 is going to have a physical release, being able for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Mac on the same release date, and the release for mobile devices —PSVita and 3DS— will be available later this date.
