Miley Cyrus is having an incredible year as a music artist. Now, Miley Cyrus has dropped the music video for River and her new album. River serves as the follow-up to Miley’s smash hit single Flowers. As many know, Flowers remained the top song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six consecutive weeks. The song is now one of Miley Cyrus’ biggest hits.
While different from Flowers, River is still a dance song in many ways. However, it’s a bit more understated than Flowers with its sonic nature. The River music video is similar to Miley Cyrus’s previous visual, mainly featuring her performing for the camera. In addition, this music video is in black and white, which enhances the song.
Of course, it’s hard to predict if River will have the same success as Flowers, but it’s a solid song. In many ways, it may even be more radio-friendly and danceable than Miley’s first single from Endless Summer Vacation.
Miley Cyrus’ New Album
Miley Cyrus dropped her new album, and it’s already getting rave reviews. In fact, Rolling Stone has called it her “sharpest” and most “independent” body of work to date. Miley Cyrus’ new album consists of 13 tracks and combines some dance and pop sounds and her more rock-tuned vocals. Endless Summer Vacation features Brandi Carlile and Sia on Thousand Miles and Muddy Feet, respectively. So far, most fans say that the standout track from the new album is Jaded, which is the second song.
Though Miley Cyrus is having one of the biggest years of her music career, the singer has been pretty quiet. Of course, she recently had her album release party, but she’s not promoting the record in the usual way. She’s mostly letting the music speak for itself. However, she will perform songs from Endless Summer Vacation on a Disney+ special.
