Maps are useful for navigating around your Minecraft world. If you get lost easily or travel far away, you may carry around several maps to help you explore. However, a cartography table can help you lock, clone and zoom in and out on maps to better customize your maps. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to make a cartography table in Minecraft.
How to Make a Cartography Table in Minecraft
To craft a cartography table, you need two pieces of paper and four wood planks. It does not matter which wood you use, and you can combine different wood. However, you cannot use wooden logs. If you only have wood logs, you must turn them into planks and use them in the recipe. You must also use a crafting table to craft the cartography table since the planks and paper will not fit in your 2×2 inventory crafting space. Alternatively, if you do not want to make one, you can search for cartographer houses in villages. A cartography table is a job site block that can naturally generate in villages alongside grindstones, lecterns and smithing tables.
