Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino hinted at a sequel for the 1997 comedy film Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. The pair said on an appearance on TODAY that they are “getting closer” to a sequel. Mira Sorvino played Romy White in the film, and Lisa Kudrow played Michele Weinberger. The film revolved around two young women who haven’t achieved what they’d hoped to by the time their high school reunion rolls around. They, in turn, come up with colorful achievements to impress their former classmates. Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, and Justin Theroux also starred in the original film. Neither Kudrow nor Sorvino has shared much about the potential sequel to the 1997 comedy film. Kudrow did share that Robin Schiff, the writer of the original film “definitely been approached to start thinking of a sequel.” There is hope for a sequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
