Even though Modern Warfare 2 is still just in the Open Beta, players are ready to grind their level. Much like the previous Call of Duty betas, there’s a level cap. However, the Modern Warfare 2 beta features 2 different max level caps. We will explain exactly what those level caps are, when they come into effect, and how this all leads into the main game once it is fully released.
Max Level Cap in the Modern Warfare 2 Beta
There’s plenty to enjoy as you play the Open Beta for Modern Warfare 2. From perks to a host of cool weapons, you have everything you need to grind and level up so that you’re ready for the main game.
When it comes to leveling up, you can reach different caps during the different available weekends. The first week runs from September 16 to September 20. During this time period, the max level cap is 15 for the Modern Warfare 2 beta.
Meanwhile, the second week runs from September 22 to September 26. When you play during this time, the max level cap is increased to 30. Take a peek at the Beta Schedule so you know when you can actually access the Open Beta for your platform.
So, grind away until the Open Beta closes for good on September 26. You have plenty of time to reach the max level cap in Modern Warfare 2.
No matter if you reach the level cap or not, whatever level you’re at when the beta ends is the level you start at in the main game. If you aim for the cap, then you are at a considerable advantage once Modern Warfare 2 is fully released in October. Note that there will be no level cap in the main game. You can just continue to push as hard as possible and make yourself unstoppable.
