Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has been enjoying quite a lot of success. First, the game sold a total of 14 million copies in October last year, becoming the fastest-selling Capcom title to date. And then along with Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 Remake, boosted Capcom’s profit to $119 million. To celebrate the one year release of the Iceborne expansion later this month, Monster Hunter: World is going to do a rerun of previous seasonal events after the Summer or Sizzling Spice Festival ends. The Monster Hunter: World official Twitter account listed all three seasonal events:
- Holiday Joy Fest: August 21 – September 3
- Grand Appreciation: September 4 – 17
- Full Bloom Fest: September 18 – 30
Before the start of Holiday Joy Fest rerun, Capcom is also going to drop an event-exclusive monster, Frostfang Barioth, tomorrow on August 7th.
Even though Iceborne was released on September 6, 2019, for consoles; both PS4 and Xbox One; it wasn’t until January 10, 2020 PC players could finally enjoy running around in the frozen wasteland of Hoarfrost Reach. And with the four-month gap between each release, the PC version had to play catch-up for updates. But thankfully ever since Capcom managed to implement platform parity in April, all console and PC content have now been synced up. This means even if PC players should have celebrated the release next year, the events are still going to be available on all platforms. Lucky us, huh?
This Iceborne 1st-anniversary celebration is definitely the perfect time to gather all the seasonal layered armors you might have missed before.
