MultiVersus has been out for nearly a week at this point (at least in Open Beta and not Early Access) and players have quickly been rising in the ranks. With many people having several characters at Level 15 already, the skill ceiling is being pursued by many. Though with all that skill, you may be wondering if your rewards earned and levels gained will transfer over if you play on another platform. If you’re one of those people, there is no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll let you know if there’s cross-platform progression for MultiVersus!
Is There Cross-Platform Progression for MultiVersus?
The way MultiVersus’ online component works is through a sign-in to a Warner Bros game account. You’ll probably remember this from back when you created your account for the game, or if you signed in on another platform for playing at a friend’s house or whatever reason. Thanks to this online integration, MultiVersus does indeed have cross-platform progression. The reason it works is that you’re essentially logging into the same account no matter where you play. With all of your data stored on that account rather than on the device you started on, it all conveniently carries over. This is also coincidentally how crossplay works, seeing as it’s simply people all playing on Warner Bros’ servers rather than on platform-specific ones.
Before you ask, yes, if MultiVersus ever comes to Nintendo Switch or mobile like some have hoped to see, then this should remain true for either of those platforms. If that changes, the team will likely inform everyone before the game launches there. This all of course only matters if it actually comes to other platforms, which the team has yet to confirm or deny rumors of.
