My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero just launched a few days ago and, it has been nothing but captivating. My Hero Academia fans are over the moon as the game makes a dream come true, be a hero in Japan!
My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero Setting
Developed by Xin Yuan studios and published by A Plus Japan, Strongest Hero is an open-world MMORPG for Android and iOS set in the My Hero Academia universe, where you can build your team of super-powerful heroes and villains.
Developers have stated that there will be constant updates wherein new characters will be released. Right now, Strongest Hero comes with a range of the most fan-favorite characters like All Might, Deku, Bakugo, Stain, and others.
Strongest Hero comes with various modes like PVP, Co-op, Timed, and Story Mode. With all of the elements, the game consumes a whopping 7GB; you would need a powerful mobile to run the game at its best.
Story Mode
The game has a complete story campaign where you would end up fighting against some iconic villains like Shigaraki, Stain, and others with your teams. Fans of the anime will be able to witness amazing recreations of events that transpired in the anime. Being able to play through them is a dream come true.
The story of the game starts in the same way the anime does, a quirkless Deku. Strongest Hero follows the My Hero Academia anime through its first, second, and third season. We can expect to have further storylines through updates. A large chunk of the storyline takes place around the U.S.J incident and the hero killer arc.
Gameplay
Run around the city, beat up villains and other players, combos, specials, is that all? A little more than that.
First off, the game follows Gacha mechanics. You will have to rely on various methods for getting your favorite characters, a large portion of it being luck. Everyone starts with Deku. Other characters can be unlocked through story progression, limited-time events, monthly drops, RNG-based rolls, and such.
RNG-based rolls are an important part of the game where you can expect to win your favorite characters through in-game money. If you end up on the unlucky side and win nothing, the character you want can be unlocked by collecting “puzzle pieces.” But that would mean finding several items distributed around the map, racking up days or maybe weeks of grinding.
The map is fantastic. Being able to run around the city you always see get blown up in the anime is a delight. Be it for PVP, Timed, or Story mode; you’re going to need a powerful team. For that, you have to get your characters to level up.
The characters you own can be improved or bulked up by visiting the gym or cafeteria. Upgraded gear, higher level move sets are all elements you would need in your journey as a hero. Characters can also be leveled up easily through story progression.
Gameplay during the story mode will have you playing through a bunch of missions that end up in a final boss battle. Combos, timed special moves, dodging, all of the usual stuff you would expect in a horizontal view touch screen game.
Each character comes with unique specials and attack styles. Choosing a team that mixes both Ranged Fighters and Melee Fighters would be the best option.
Strongest Hero gives you an immersive MMORPG experience with a little more of everything. A compelling story campaign, addictive gameplay, Gacha elements that will have you raging and grinding for weeks are all part of the experience.
