About a week before its release, Bandai Namco announced that its newest anime brawler, My Hero One’s Justice, will have DLC characters upon release. Not looking forward to paying for the additional characters up front? No worries! There will be a free one upon release.
Upon release, Shoot Style Deku, My Hero Academia’s main protagonist, will be available for free to anyone who purchased the game. This version of everyone’s favorite, freckled superhero will have a combat scheme focused mainly on kicks and leg attacks. And once the character has been downloaded, free of charge, Shoot Style missions can be purchased through the game’s store.
Japan’s second-highest ranked hero, Endeavor, will be offered as one of the DLC characters. For those who have already pre-ordered My Hero One’s Justice will automatically receive the fiery hero as a pre-order bonus, but he will be available for purchase for those who weren’t so quick. As with Shoot Style Deku, specific Endeavor missions will be located in the game’s store for purchase. As of this writing, there have been no pricing details released.
Bandai Namco also announced that My Hero One’s Justice will have a day-one patch with some fun additions. The most exciting addition of the patch is its Arcade Mode, a ” ladder-style tournament where players will compete against several CPU opponents.” Completing this ladder with different characters will eventually earn the player an “exclusive item.”
The brawler is based on the highly popular anime My Hero Academia, and this is the first game based on the anime to release in the West. Bandai Namco details the experience:
Whether you want to see the destruction of humanity or believe heroes should defend those in need, fight to prove your justice in MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE. The popular Weekly Shonen Jump manga series comes to life, as players experience the abilities of fan favorite characters such as Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Tomura Shigaraki, and many more in this arena brawler, where you’ll get to choose between hero and villain in your path to justice
My Hero One’s Justice is set to release on October 27, 2018, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
