The My Time at Portia sequel has been announced, and the Early Access release date for Steam and the Epic Games Store that is being talked about is the 26th of May. The sequel is called My Time at Sandrock and will follow a similar mechanical system to that of its predecessor; a gentle and relaxing farming and life simulation process, but this time there will be a slight change… it will be set in much sandier surroundings.
The aim of the game is to tame the monstrous and vast desert through the cultivation of crops and construction of civic buildings while also attempting to win the hearts of the local people and leveling up your friendships. The game also consists of mining, exciting cave explorations, some combat scenarios, and a whole host of other customizable options for your home. The Early Access release news for the My Time at Portia sequel also came with a new announcement trailer, which you can watch below.
Recap of My Time at Portia
Here’s a little reminder of Pathea Games, My Time at Portia. It takes place long after the world’s population has almost been destroyed; humans have now emerged from underground and are attempting to rebuild a society they once knew. The aim is to expand the city of Portia by gathering resources and combining them into recipes to create special items that will help you and your comrades survive.
As My Time at Portia progresses, players will be able to obtain better tools that allow them to harvest resources faster – which is pretty self-explanatory, to be fair. Once items are crafted, they can also be exchanged for rewards such as money and town favor – but you can’t really spend town favor, can you? It’s not all farming and construction because the game also contains dungeons that require you to fight different enemies that lie deep within.
Console versions of the My Time at Portia sequel have not been announced yet, but the Early Access release for Steam and the Epic Games Store will soon creep up on you, so watch out for that if you were a fan of the first game.
