An early-game machine you’ll need to progress through the story is a Processor. While the Recycler requires very few materials and automatically appears in your Assembly Station, the Processor will take a couple of extra steps to make. This guide will provide information on making a Processor in My Time at Sandrock Early Access.
How to Make a Processor in My Time at Sandrock
Before assembling the Processor in My Time at Sandrock, you’ll have to head to the Research Center and speak to the local scientist, Qi. It costs three Data Discs to research the Processor and will take one in-game day to complete. You’ll receive mail from the Research Center containing the Processor machine blueprint the next day.
After obtaining the Processor assembly blueprint in your mail, you’ll have to prepare some resources to make the machine. To make the Processor, you need the following items and materials:
- Copper Bars x4 – Obtained by smelting Copper Ore x12 in a furnace.
- Old Parts x2 – Obtained by mining in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins, recycling Mechanical Scrap or purchasing from the Eufaula Salvage shop.
- Grinding Saws x3 – Obtained by crafting at the Worktable using Dinas x12 and Stone x3
- Bricks x6 – Obtained by smelting Stone x24 in a furnace or recycling Stone Scrap
Since the Processor is an early game machine you make in My Time at Sandrock, it requires primarily basic materials. However, you’ll need at least one Furnace and one Recycler. You can also find each resource using the following methods:
- Stone: Found in Junk Piles and Gravel rocks surrounding your workshop. Gravel rocks appear as orange-brown rocks near cactus trees and large boulders. Use your Pickhammer to break the gravel rocks.
- Dinas: Found by mining in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins or breaking Gravel rocks.
- Copper Ore: Found in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins starting at level one.
- Mechanical Scrap: Found in the Eufaula Salvage scrap piles.

Once you obtain each resource, you’ll be ready to assemble the Processor. Go to your Assembly Station and select the Processor. Click Assemble to find the Processor highlighted on the Assembly Station platform. Interact with it by pressing “E” to add each material. After adding each part, interact with it again to add the Processor to your inventory.
My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
