The My Time at Portia sequel, My Time at Sandrock, is swiftly approaching its Early Access release! You’ll eventually have to acquire Thick Rope as you progress through the story. You may notice quickly that your Worktable does not, by default, come with a crafting recipe for Thick Rope. This guide will provide information on obtaining the crafting recipe for Thick Rope and how to make it in My Time at Sandrock Early Access.
How to Make Thick Rope in My Time at Sandrock
Before you begin crafting Thick Rope, there is a quick way to obtain one for free. At the front of your Workshop, next to the Water Tank, you will find one Thick Rope on the ground. Pick this rope up. Now you’ll have one less rope to craft later!
After grabbing the rope off the floor, you can now start making Thick Rope in My Time at Sandrock. However, before you can craft it, you must first buy the crafting recipe from the Commerce Guild Store. Upon entering the Commerce Guild, turn right until you find a cash register. Interact with it to find a shop full of crafting recipe books. Among these books, you’ll find the recipe for Thick Rope. Purchase it using Gols and head back to your Workshop Worktable.

Once you buy the crafting recipe for Thick Rope, you’ll now find it under the Resources category in the Worktable. Interact with your Worktable and scroll down until you find Thick Rope. To craft one Thick Rope, you’ll need four Plant Fibers. You can find Plant Fibers from Sand Grass, Sand Flowers, Yellow Lavender and Yakthorn bushes. After getting at least four Plant Fibers, head back to your Worktable and craft the Thick Rope.
My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
