Actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo will portray Sabine Wren in the live-action Ahsoka series on Disney+. The show is a spin-off of The Mandalorian and will star Rosario Dawson as the title character.
The Australian actress recently starred in Netflix’s animated comedy Wish Dragon. According to Deadline, Bordizzo’s first on-screen role was as Snow Vase in Netflix’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and she has also starred in the streamer’s series The Society. She will now be taking on the role of the Star Wars: Rebels character Sabine Wren, a young Mandalorian and weapons expert who is also fond of graffiti. The character is also a dropout of the Imperial Academy of Mandalore.
According to Variety, Sabine was last seen at the end of Rebels when the Empire fell and she and Ahsoka set out to search for their missing friend, Ezra Bridger. This was also Ahsoka Tano’s last appearance until she appeared in The Mandalorian. Because that storyline never had full closure, it has been rumored for some time that Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger would appear in the Ahsoka series. Ezra has also been confirmed to appear in the show.
Along with Dawson and Bordizzo, Hayden Christensen is confirmed to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka’s former Jedi Master in Star Wars: The Clone Wars who would eventually be turned to the dark side and become the iconic villain Darth Vader. Several other Star Wars series are coming up on Disney+ including Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett, and the third season of The Mandalorian.
