We’re only a few days away from the next phase in gaming! To whet your appetite, 2K has announced new features coming to the next-gen version of NBA 2K21. The MyCAREER story will be expanded, and a new MyNBA mode will be debuting.
The next-gen version of NBA 2K21 will be released on November 10 for Xbox Series X|S and November 12 for the PlayStation 5.
NBA 2K21’s Expanded MyCAREER
The expanded MyCAREER mode in NBA 2K21 will give you the option to either go straight to the NBA from high school like the late Kobe Bryant or go through the whole college experience like the great Michael Jordan. 2K has also added the NBA G-League, the minor league of the NBA where current champions like Alex Caruso and Danny Green developed their skills.
According to 2K, the next-gen NBA 2k21 MyCAREER “will offer a new level of immersion, personality, and activity.” They even teased special appearances that “longtime MyCAREER players may recognize.”
The New MyNBA Mode
Are you the type that prefers making moves in the front-office rather than on the hardwood? This one’s for you. 2K is revamping their league management modes (MyLeague and MyGM) with the all-new MyNBA. In NBA 2K21’s MyNBA, you can create your own league and play either as the general manager of a team or the Adam Silver of the whole darn league. You can set the number of teams that can play, set your own scoring rules, and develop players from the G-League. MyNBA will be featuring “unprecedented levels of control” that’ll only be available on the next-gen consoles.
2K is constantly giving updates on the new features of the next-gen version of NBA 2K21. Read the full details in their “Courtside Report” here.
