Earlier today, 2K unveiled additional information regarding NBA 2K22 Seasons, including new rewards and levels.
This is the first time in the series that NBA 2K Seasons will be available across several game modes. Seasons will allow players to level up in the ‘City’ and the ‘Neighborhood’ among others. Every time players reach a new Seasons level, additional rewards can then be redeemed at no extra cost. Rewards are refreshed every 6 weeks, with Seasons aiming to keep things fresh and interesting.
NBA 2K22 Seasons: MyCAREER
While Seasons were only relevant to MyTeam in last year’s iteration of the game, NBA 2K22 introduces Seasons to MyCAREER as well. Rewards include new clothing, Banners for MyPLAYER, a new Grand Prize, and then some. Seasons are also bringing in Go-Karts, which are meant to aid players in roaming about and exploring uncovered areas. Go-Karts will be available once players hit level 40. There are also going to be Inline Skates for players that reach level 30.
PS4 and Xbox One players will have a chance to play some basketball under the Caribbean sun – with an opportunity to show off their fanciest of moves on cruise ships and exotic islands.
The ultimate status in NBA 2K22 is the ‘Legend’, and players will only be able to reach it once they’ve achieved level 40 in four different Seasons.
First Fridays
Every Friday throughout the Season, 2K is going to introduce an array of additional songs to the game’s soundtrack. You can expect big names to join the fray, such as Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, and Young Thug.
MyTEAM
NBA 2K22 aims to introduce a real evolution to the MyTEAM experience. Players will be able to earn XP points with old and new Agendas, as well as additional rewards from Lifetime Agenda Groups. Several MyTEAM modes will allow players to earn those rewards and other points for their Season, including Domination, Triple Threat, Limited, and Draft. For players that manage to climb up to the top of Season 1, a special reward awaits, in the form of a Pink Diamond Carmelo “King of New York” Anthony.
NBA 2K22 is set to release on September 10 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
