Ladies and gentlemen, the racing registration is now open! Last week, EA announced Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered in a real-world trailer. During this trailer, a racer is haunted by his shortcomings. The numbers 5:10 haunt him in his daily life. Upon Need for Speed Hot Pursuits Remastered’s release, the racer antagonist delivers him a gift. This gift says, beat me if you can. This taunting backfires when the racer finally surpasses the challenge. The trailer itself offered very little gameplay, but it does appear the remastering is more of an upgraded texture. In addition, Xbox has listed the day one Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered file size in their store.
According to the Microsoft Store, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered file size comes in at 21.80 GBs. The original file for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit on Steam is 8 GBs. For a remastering, a file almost three times the original size seems ordinary. Compared to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered file size is rather. According to the Microsoft Store, NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered is Xbox One X enhanced providing 4K resolution with no HDR support; it will feature cross-play for multiplayer and auto log when the game releases. NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered will also be available on the Xbox Series X/S.
Hot Pursuit Remastered Enhancements
According to EA, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered has an additional six-hours of gameplay. The game will provide more than thirty additional challenges, new achievements, wraps, car colors, and reduced hard stops. Photo mode and gallery have also been updated to meet modern standards. On November 6, 2020, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered will be available on the Nintendo Switch as well but at a later date.
