Shawn Levy Netflix Series Casts Gemma Chan
Shawn Levy has made a name for himself by producing and directing. He is known for producing along with directing some episodes of Stranger Things. He has also worked with Ryan Reynolds heavily with Free Guy, The Adam Project, and Deadpool 3, which he will direct.Â
Collaborating with Netflix goes with the streak Gemma Chan has been on in her career. Her first major film was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first film of the Harry Potter prequels. She went with another blockbuster the next year with Transformers: The Last Knight. Then, she pivoted away from the action to star in Crazy Rich Asians, which featured Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina, Constance Wu (Hustlers), and Henry Golding (Snake Eyes). She also starred as different characters in two Marvel films, Captain Marvel and Eternals.
The actress will appear in the series Extrapolations with Toby Maguire, Forest Whitaker, and Eliza González (Godzilla vs. Kong). She will join the star-studded cast for Olivia Wilde’s (Booksmart) thriller Don’t Worry Darling. Next year, she will be in the next film by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), True Love. She will also star in Cuckoo with Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) and Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond).
No date has been set for the Gemma Chan Netflix series The Moon Represents My Heart.
