Netflix is making a real-life Squid Game reality show. It feels like it was only a matter of time. The best part is that the show’s cash prize will be the biggest in reality TV history. 456 players will compete in trials based on those seen on the beloved show. The cash prize they will all be fighting for will be $4.5 million dollars. Netflix’s Squid Game was one of the most popular shows the platform dropped outside of Stranger Things. So really, this was just a matter of time.
Squid Game is a fictional show about a group of contestants taking part in bridal challenges to win a massive cash prize. The big change will be no one will die on the reality show. That should be obvious, but in 2022 anything is possible.
Real-life Squid Game
Netflix has opened casting for the show to English-language speakers around the world. Filming will take place in the U.K. The series is being co-produced by production firms Studio Lambert and The Garden, which is part of British broadcaster ITV. Netflix said “Squid Game: The Challenge” will feature games from the original series and some “surprising new additions.” It will comprise 10 episodes in total.
Netflix is making a real-life Squid Game reality show, and the world is curious. We are just going to say it now. We (and the rest of the world) cannot wait to watch the honeycomb challenge in real life. It was genuinely one of the most tense moments of TV we can remember. Seeing it in real life will only make it more intense.
